The Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) 2025 for District 9213 was a transformative leadership development program held under the theme "Passion, Action, and Reaction in Leadership." From January 10-12, 2025, at Kaazi Camping Grounds, 240 youth from 60 Rotary Clubs across Uganda participated in a dynamic three-day boot camp featuring leadership masterclasses, team-building challenges, skilling workshops, and community project design.
The program was elevated by a historic visit from Rotary International President Stephanie Urchick, who emphasized digital literacy and communication, and an inspiring address by Hon. Dr. Balaam Barugahara, encouraging youth to drive national development. With sessions on self-discovery, emotional intelligence, financial literacy, and adaptability in the age of AI, RYLA 2025 empowered participants to become innovative and resilient leaders, culminating in impactful social project pitches showcased at the 100th District Conference.
