Fellow Rotarians,

I am pleased to formally inform you that at its meeting held from 13 to 15 April 2026 in Evanston, Illinois, USA, the Board of Rotary International approved the split of District 9213.
 
Effective 1 July 2027, District 9213 will be split into two new districts as follows:
 
District 9217
  • Uganda Central Region covering Kampala Nakawa Division
  • Wakiso District
  • Eastern Region
  • Northeastern Region including Karamoja
  •  
District 9218
  • Uganda Central Region covering Kampala Central Division and Kawempe Division
  • Other Central Districts
  • Northern Region
  • Western Region
 
 Kindly refer to the attached documents, which outline the detailed district alignment, including the respective clubs under each new district.  
 
All members are encouraged to review these documents carefully to confirm their future district placement.
 
As we prepare for this transition, I encourage all clubs to remain focused on strengthening membership, deepening engagement, and expanding our impact in the communities we serve.
 
I wish you continued success as we grow Rotary together.
