Welcome to the maiden edition of The Compass, the official District 9213 regional newsletter celebrating the first quarter of the 2026-2027 Rotary year. Inspired by the East African concept of “upcountry,” this publication shines a spotlight on the vibrant clubs, communities, and changemakers across the Northern, Eastern, and Central Western regions.
The Compass was created to celebrate the dedication of our upcountry clubs, share their stories, and strengthen collaboration throughout our Rotary family. We extend our sincere appreciation to everyone who contributed articles, photographs, and updates that have made this inaugural edition possible.
Launching a new publication is both exciting and meaningful. We thank District Governor Gerald Obai for entrusting us with this important platform and congratulate the regional leaders and volunteers who have stepped forward to support Rotary’s vision. Their commitment continues to drive service and impact across our district.
In this issue, we introduce the leadership teams guiding our three regions and encourage clubs to view The Compass as their own platform for sharing innovative, grassroots solutions to local challenges. It is a space where bold ideas, collaboration, and community impact can be showcased and celebrated.
